Captain Raju No More

Noted actor Captain Raju who played deadly villain in several Telugu films has passed away today at his residence in Palarivattom, Kochi. He was survived by wife Prameela and son Raviraj. His original name is Raju Daniel, eherein Captain Raju is his screen name.

A few months ago, Raju had suffered a stroke during a plane journey to New York and was admitted to a hospital in Muscat. He was brought back to Kochi for further treatment. His condition was declared stable at the time.

Captain Raju quit the Indian army and began his acting career in 1981. He was a part of over 500 films in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil and had tried your hand in television as well. He was last seen in 2017’s Masterpiece. Raju also directed two movies Itha Oru Snehagadha and Mr Pavanai 99.99.

Balidanam, Shatruvu, Kondapalli Raja, Rowdy Alludu, Gandeevam and Mondi Mogudu Penki Pellam are few of Raju’s Telugu films.
