Mestri bags best film award

Darsakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao's film `Mestri' won two awards at the Vamsi International Film Awards which were announced at a press meet at the AP Film Chamber of Commerce in Hyderabad on Friday.

It was not only adjudged as the best film, its protagonist Dasari Narayana Rao bagged the best actor award for his riveting performance in the film. The other awards include, Anushka got best actress award for her performance in `Arundhathi', Ramcharan Teja got sensational actor award.

Naga Chaitanya won best debut actor award, Arundhathi won sensational film award, Kodi Ramakrishna won best director award for Arundhathi and SS Rajamouli won sensational director award. According to Vamsi Ramaraju, a selection committee headed by Andhra Prabha editor Vijaya Babu selected the winners.
