Telugu Films Dominate BookMyShow In 2020

As the year 2020 comes to a closure, the advanced movie booking app - BookMyShow app has given the list of top 10 films of the year 2020. The app has given the list on the basis of the most tickets booked time year during pre-lockdown time. Interestingly, in the regional cinema Telugu films have dominated BookMyShow. Out of top 10, three Tollywood films have found a place in top five which is a no ordinary feat.

The top film goes to Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, second spot goes to Allu Arjun starrer Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, third comes Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru, Rajinikanth’s Darbar bags fourth spot while Nithiin’s Bheeshma comes in fifth place.  Then comes Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (Hindi), Baaghi 3 (Hindi), Street Dancer 3 (Hindi), Anjaam Pathiraa (Malayalam) and 1917 (English).

Telugu Films Rule Regional Cinema

The BookMyShow app also stated that Tollywood films have grown the maximum when it comes to regional cinema. In comparative to last year, this year Telugu films have grew 215 percent between the period January –March.
