LB Sriram on his short-film success

Very few veteran actors or writers make an effort to adapt to the times and stay relevant with current-day audiences beyond films. However, Lb Sriram has proved that he belongs to a different breed with the popularity of his short films on his YouTube channel– that he has directed, produced and also acted in. In a recent interview, when the host had asked why he shifted his focus towards short films, this is the answer he gave.

“Short films have become an obsession of sorts, in a good way. I’ve given up on most addictions in life, but making short films is one addiction that has proved very productive. Most of the actors, directors who’ve worked with me are no more or not getting any films. When I realised that my work calendar is no longer full, I realised the importance of taking an alternative path with all the film experience I had. Short films are relevant with all age groups today and will continue to attract viewers even after I’m no more,” Lb Sriram added.

Most of Lb Sriram’s films focus on traditions, culture and themes that reflect the spirit of the Telugu land. He has also taken several Telugu short stories to adapt them into short films and his choices have worked in his favour. Lb Sriram was last seen in the web sequel to the most popular Telugu sitcom, Amrutham on ZEE5.
