The golden period of Telugu cinema is no more in existence. Every indivirual related to Telugu Film industry will agree that, this is the most ‘Neechaathi Neecham’ phase which Tollywood is undergoing through. With increased budgets, increased working days and decreased out put along with decreased creativity, industry is going through the leanest of its phases.
Although this subject would become purely debatable but many in industry consider that heroes and directors are the major culprits for this era to begin. Majority among them are young heroes like Junior Ntr, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh babu and few more (not all the young heroes). Here is the reason which internal filmy sources say, if budget of a movie is locked somewhere around 20 to 30 crores for these heroes, it was known that 4 to 6 crores of remuneration for heroes (around 20 to 30% of budget) and almost the same for director and his crew will eat up almost 40 to 60% of budget allocated for a movie. If miscellaneous eats away one more 10%...what could be the creative, rich and quality product that can be delivered with remaining 30 – 40% of budget, asks one of the movie analyst.
With increased number of working days and increasing expenditure leading producers to go for high interest loans will be the first step where degradation starts. Then the incumbent loans along with piling up interest rates will suck him up ending with a mediocre product which will obviously see a negative result at BO.
Need to analyse correctly, who are responsible for this degrading standards?
