No one replacing Kajal in Indian 2

Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 has been in news for various reasons other than the shooting. People got excited when the makers announced the project in style as it happened to be the sequel for Shankar-Kamal Haasan's blockbuster film Indian. However, the project ran into legal problems between director Shankar and the producer Lycaa.

Many thought the project would be shelved. However the duo reached an out-of-court settlement and when they planned to resume shoot, they came to know about heroine Kajal Agarwal's pregnancy, and also Kamal Haasan got covid. Now Kamal recovered from covid and the makers are planning to resume shoot in the second half of 2022.

They are hunting for a replacement for Kajal and inside talk is they finalized Tamannaah as the heroine. The film stars  Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Siddharth, and Rakul Preet Singh in important roles. Shankar is planning to start to shoot for Indian 2 after he completes his project RC15 with Ram Charan. 

Update on 04th August, 2022: Kajal conformed that no one is replacing her and she is going to join Indian 2 sets from September , 2022
