Vijaya Shanti's hate speech

The super cop of Telugu films, actress Vijayashanti had to eat a humble pie on Monday. The actor-turned MP thought politics is real life dialogue delivery. Her speech at Telangana Bhavan on June 30 calling to hack those that oppose Telangana drew flak.

 The TRS lady submitted her reply to the Election Commission over the hate speech in response to the EC notice to her for violating the model code of conduct and making inflammatory speeches ahead of bypolls on July 27.

 Vijayashanti replied that media has mis-quoted her. She said she recited a quote from a poem, by legendary poet Kaloji Narayana Rao. The quote was not provocative, she replied. However, what the actress forgot that media includes TV channels which showed her actually uttering the provocative dialogue. 

The actress was also arrested on Saturday and soon released.
