Kamal Haasan-Argentina-Tom Cruise Shares The Strange 36 Year Coincidence

It has been widely circulated that the year 1986 is repeating as 2022 in many ways. After Tom Cruise starrer Top Gun and Kamal Haasan's Vikram, Argentina lifting the football World Cup stands as another major event that repeated after 36 years. Argentina was last emerged as world champions by winning soccer world cup in 1986 led by Diego Maradona who is considered as one of the greatest players in football. After 36 years, Argentina made their dream come true winning the world cup again led by Lionel Messi who is termed as true heir to Maradona and one of the all time greatest in the game. 

Apart from this, this 36 year coincidence also happened in cinema. 1986, Tom Cruise played iconic role, Pete Maverick Mitchell in Top Gun. It was a cult film for 80's youth. After 36 years in 2022 Top Gun's sequel, Top Gun : Maverick starring Tom Cruise is released and became highest grosser in Tom Cruise's career with $1.4 Billion gross at the boxoffice. Similarly another strange coincidence happened with our Ulaganayagan Kamala Haasan. His spy film which was made with big budget titled Vikram was released in 1986. The title of very much loved by Kamal fans and is a cult film among them. Exactly after 36 years, Kamal's fan Director Lokesh Kanagaraj came up with a film titled Vikram and it became an industry hit recording highest grosser in Kamal's career with Rs 400 Crores at the boxoffice. 

These coincidences seem strange and came as a pleasant surprise. Many are celebrating the success of Argentina in India also as there are numerous fans for Maradona and Messi in our country.
