Ramalinga Raju, the person behind the biggest corporate fraud in India and the prime accused in Satyam accounting fraud case appeared before a local court in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
Raju, the founder and the former managing director of Satyam Computers, appeared before the court along with his doctor. Citing health reasons, Raju had been avoiding appearance in the court since Sept 2009.
On Wednesday, Aug 18, the Andhra Pradesh High Court granted bail to Raju.The former Satyam chairman, who was arrested on January 9 last year and is currently undergoing treatment for liver infection in the state-run Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences
