The Minister said that the Government would appoint a committee comprising of the Chief secretary, Law secretary and Advocate General to look into the aspects of the High Court’s decision. He clarified that a copy of the High Court’s order on the issue has not yet reached the Government.

Mr Bose said that the proposed committee would study the Court ruling and if needed, the state Government would approach the Supreme Court to find a solution to the issue.

He further revealed that the Cabinet sub-committee would meet once again on September 7 to discuss the issue.

The Social Welfare Minister said that the Government would recover the Rs 90 lakh from college managements which had tried to take advantage of the loopholes in the fee reimbursement delivery process by opening accounts in the name of 80,000 fictitious students.
