Revise Metro Rail layout plans : MLC

Member Of Legislative Council K Dileep Kumar on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister K Rosaiah requesting that the government to look at the possibility of revising the layout plan for the Metro Rail Project in Hyderabad.

Mr Dileep Kumar stated in his memorandum that since the government had canceled the contract agreement with Mytas Group and entered in to contract with the L&T Company, the layout plan should also be revised.

He also stated that Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and Hyderabad Urban Development Authority should work in tandem for the implementation of the Metro Rail Project since it would bring in many benefits to the city.

The MLC also pointed out that care should be taken that no harm is caused to heritage buildings in the execution of the prestigious project.

He further added that work on the Metro Rail Project should be carried out in such a way so as not to hinder traffic at busy junctions in the city.
