Chalasani Venakteshwara Rao murdered

Famous Telugu Desham Party leader of Krishna district Chalasani Venkateshwara Rao (Pandu) is brutally murdered in his fourth floor Flat No 402, Swapnika Pearl Apartment, Yousufguda, Hyderabad today. As per the information from watchman of the apartments, Pandu and his PA Mahender Reddy reached home tonight. Later Mahender Reddy jumped from the window of apartment in late night and escaped, which makes clear that Mahender Reddy who is working from last 15 years with Pandu has link with the murder. While Police on other hand are guessing commission related issues to an illegal land settlement done few days ago as major cause behind this brutal act.

Chalasani Venkateshwara Rao was close follower of Devineni Nehru and was one of the suspects in the killing of Ranga. He was also arrested by Suryaraopet Police two months ago in a case related to civil dispute. 

Pandu lost 1999 Elections by 1000 votes from Vuyyuru Assembly fighting as an independent candidate against TDP leader Anne Babu Rao. In 2004 and 2009 elections, he again lost Penamaluru Assembly to Minister Parathasaradhi by a meager 170 votes.
