No Change in CBN, Will he get a shock. Ap Cm Chandra Babu Naidu is hailed as the visionary and praised for putting development in the forefront. He always chants the D-Mantra and dreams that any project he takes up should be beneficiary to everyone.
Ever since he became CM in 1995 for the first time he has been adopting the same policy and the reformist in him dominates him with unique ideas. In the united Andhra Pradesh he chanted development mantra and only at the later stage he spoke about the welfare schemes. That was the reason why he got only limited seats in 1999. Though he scraped through with thin majority, in 2004 his D-Mantra didnot yeild results and he lost power.
This because Congres came up with various welfare schemes in its manifesto. In 2009, Chandra Babu got washed away in the YSR's welfare schemes tsunami. From then on he couldn't become the CM of United Andhra Pradesh. In 2014,he changed track and came to power in the divided AP with welfare schemes and freebies. But he failed to fulfil his promises especially wavier of framer loans and waiver of debts of DWAKRA women.
He lost power in 2019. During his regime in 2014-2019 he spent most of the time on Amaravati capital construction with the impression that people will thrive but failed to realise that people are interested only on welfare schemes. During that time Jagan promised many welfare schemes and came to power with 151 seats. In 2024, Chandra Babu changed track and promised double the freebies than Jagan and came to power with 135 seats singlehandedly and 164 seats in alliance.
During the elections he wooed voters with super six promises. Till now except for pension increase, none of the promises have been fulfilled. He forgot about super six as the treasury is empty. In the meantime, Chandra Babu has taken Amaravathi seriously and is keen to complete Amaravathi and prove a point. Chandra Babu is confident that with Amaravati, Polavarm project completion will bring him to power in 2029.
But the peoples mood is completely different. Jagan during his regime had transferred money directly to the peoples accounts by clicking the button and every person benefited with Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakhs and they used to celebrate festivals happily. But under CBN regime till now people are claiming that they didnot get any money into their account.People started questioning their representatives regarding the same and the condition changed completely in just 7 months of CBN rule. It has to be seen what will be the situation in the coming days.
It is impossible to sail on two boats welfare schemes and development. Jagan concentrated on freebies and welfare schemes and ignored development and so middle class and affluent people voted against him. Lower class people voted for TDP only as CBN promised more freebies than Jagan. If CBN ignores welfare schemes and his promises and go only on development plank in 2029 elections, TDP may get middle class and rich and affluent people votes but poor may move away from him. CBN needs introspection or otherwise it will be Dooms Day for CBN with D-Mantra.
