Telangana Telugu Desam Forum convener Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Tuesday condemned the remarks, purportedly made by Health Minister Danam Nagender and BC Welfare Minister Mukesh Goud that Hyderabad should be made a Union Territory in the event of the state being bifurcated.
He stated that Hyderabad was the part and heart of Telangana, and without Hyderabad, there was no meaning to Telangana.
Talking to media persons at the TDLP office, Mr Janardhan Reddy stated that the members of the Justice B N Srikrishna Commission gave a patient hearing to the Telangana Telugu Desam Forum by allotting more than two hours in New Delhi during their meeting last week.
He said that the Forum had submitted a 16 page report to the commission over the injustice done to Telangana region during the successive tenures of various Chief Ministers.
The senior leader revealed that the TDP members had urged the Commission to take all accounts of injustice into consideration and announce a favourable decision respecting the sentiments and emotions of Telangana people.
A lot of injustice has been done to Telangana during the tenure of first Chief Minister Dr Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, Mr Janardhan Reddy stated.
Mr Janardhan Reddy revealed that he had brought to the notice of the Commission members that locals were not given priority and successive governments had appointed non-locals in the region violating the GOs and sections in the constitution.
