TRS MLAs suspension: KCR calls for bandh on Dec 16

Protesting the suspension of his party Legislators from the Assembly Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday called for an educational institutes bandh on December 16.

The TRS MLAs were suspended and evicted from the Assembly for stalling proceedings of the House, demanding a timeframe for withdrawal of the cases filed against the students.

Taking serious note on the suspension of TRS legislators from the House, KCR expressed dissatisfaction over the statement given by Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy that government was committed to withdrawal of cases filed against the students.

He appealed to Telangana students and leaders to boycott educational institutions on December 16 and participate in the Maha Garjana to be held on that day at Warangal, coinciding with the completion of one year of Union Home Minister P Chidambaram’s announcement on the formation of separate Telangana made on December 9, 2009.
