President of India Prathibha Patil on Friday was accorded a warm welcome by Governor ESL Narasimhan and Chief Minister Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, along with Ministers, Legislators and a host of other leaders and bureaucrats on her arrival at the Begumpet Airport on a week-long visit.
The Presidential aircraft landed at the Begumpet Airport at 1.45 pm, the special flight coming in from from Mumbai.
The Governor welcomed Ms Patil with a bouquet of flowers, as did the Chief Minister and his Cabinet. Ms Patil graciously accepted the bouquets.
Also on hand to welcome the Head of State were Legislative Council Chairman Chakrapani, Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Nadendla Manohar, former chief ministers K Rosaiah and N Janardhana Reddy, Ministers N Raghuveera Reddy, Basavaraju Saraiah, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, K Venkata Krishna Reddy, Danam Nagender, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, P Shanker Rao, DK Aruna, Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy and MPs Anjan Kumar Yadav and K Bapiraju, apart from the bureaucrats.
