There is no need to declare health emergency in the state, stated the Chief Minister, K Rosaiah, here on Wednesday. Talking to media persons after reviewing the situation of swine flu, dengue and viral-fever affected agency areas in the state with the Health Minister and officials concerned, the Chief Minister said that the government would take all measures to contain the diseases on war footing.He warned of action against those abstaining from duty while on deputation to the agency region from the plain areas.
He said that health teams would tour the affected areas extensively and there should be no scope for negligence. There was no paucity of funds, he said. Minister for Major and Medium Irrigation Ponnala Lakshmaiah directed the officials to take all preventive measures to contain swine flu in Warangal district. As the district registers four swine flu cases, he asked the officials step up all efforts extensively to contain the disease as Madaram jathra is approaching. He said that Sai Krishna, a student studying in 10th standard in a school died of swine flu.To prevent diseases the government would organise medical camps in 632 agency areas. It would also organise health camps in 200 residential hostels.
