TDP targets Sabitha over son's alleged criminal links

The Telugu Desam Party on Friday demanded resignation of Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy  and alleged that her son Kartik Reddy and his friend Pradeep Reddy were indulging in anti-social activities.

Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan, TDP general secretary Varla Ramaiah and former Hyderabad Mayor Teegala Krishna Reddy demanded that the Home Minister resign owning moral responsibility for her son’s alleged anti-social activities.

They also sought an answer from Ms Indra Reddy why she had vacated her official residence in haste.

 The TDP leaders alleged that Kartik Reddy was involved in land grabbing and other anti-social activities and the police were turning a blind eye to these activities because of his influence.

They demanded that the police conduct impartial enquiry and arrest Kartik Reddy and his friend Pradeep Reddy.

The TDP leaders also demanded that an investigation be launched into their allegations. They wanted the police to probe the series of phone calls made by the Home Minister before she had vacated her official residence in such haste. 

According to speculation aired in various circles, Pradeep Reddy had contacts with Bhanu Kiran, the prime accused in the killing of faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri.
