Telangana Telugu Desam Party Forum convenor Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Sunday rebutted the speculative reports which have found their way in a section of media that he and his party president N Chandrababu Naidu are at loggerheads.
Talking to media persons at Telugu Desam Legislature Party office, the senior leader condemned the media reports that he was given an earful by Mr Naidu and termed them as baseless and far from truth.
Mr Janardhan Reddy took pains to say that he has no differences with Mr Naidu over the separate Telangana statehood issue.
When asked to confirm whether he was indeed scolded by his party president for allegedly ‘sparring with Mr Naidu’, Mr Janardhan Reddy asked the media to act in a responsible way instead of attempting to spread canards.
Hinting that the media was trying to drive a wedge between the two leaders, Mr Janardhan Reddy said that he and his party president were working together on Telangana issue.
“I will not fear for anybody and work towards achieving Telangana state formation at any cost,” he stated.
Mr Janardhan Reddy has reportedly told a gathering of intellectuals that he was fighting against the leaders of his own party for the sake of Telangana and waging a relentless wary.
The senior leader had also said that if Mr Naidu remains opposed to a separate Telangana state, He would resign from the Telugu Desam Party and fight for Telangana.
Sources say that Mr Naidu became furious with Mr Janardhan Reddy over these words and gave him an earful.
