Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar on Saturday appealed to state government to immediately release the tuition fees of arrears of those students who are pursuing engineering in private engineering colleges.
Talking to media persons, he pleaded to the government not to create obstruction in the academic pursuits of the student studies by not releasing arrears of tuition fee to private colleges. The students educational career is under threat since the college managements have threatened to go on a strike if the government failed to release their pending arrears of fees by February 16, the MP pointed out.
“The career of all reserved category students is now dependent on the state government. The government should act responsibly and deal with private college management properly on fee reimbursement. It should not play with students lives,” Mr Prabhakar stated.
He also appealed to Centre to take a concrete and favourable decision on formation of separate Telangana state before the non-cooperative movement turns violent in Telangana region.
The MP said that the Telangana elected representatives will mount pressure on the Centre demanding introduction of Telangana Bill in the Budget Session of Parliament.
