Cabinet Ministers condemned the unsavoury incidents witnessed in the Assembly Hall and the subsequent physical attack on Lok Satta Party president Jayaprakash Narayan by Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and Telugu Desam Party MLAs on Thursday.

Speaking after a Group of Ministers met and discussed the incidents, Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy condemn the disrupting of Governor ESL Narasimhan's address to the Joint Sitting of the Legislature and the subsequent attack on Dr Narayan.

Talking to media persons at CLP Office, the Minister termed the incidents as unfortunate and demanded an apology by the TRS MLAs for their acts.

Mr Jana Reddy stated that these types of incidents denigrated the image of democracy and of the state at global level.

He asked the TRS leaders to introspect over their ‘barbaric’ act and asked them to change their ways.

Speaking after Mr Jana Reddy, Minister for Labour Danam Nagender demanded that the Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu offer an explanation for the participation of his MLAs in the disruption of Governor’s speech.

Mr Nagender appealed to the MLAs to cooperate with the Deputy Speaker to ensure the smooth functioning of House from Friday.

Finance Minister Anam Ram Narayana Reddy called upon MLAs not to resort to physical attacks on their counterparts. He also sought the cooperation of all the Legislators for the smooth functioning of the House.

The Ministers who met after the inaugural sitting of the Budget Session came to a hasty end included Sabitha Indra Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, DK Aruna, Syed Ahmedullah, J Geetha Reddy, D Sridhar Babu, Komati Reddy Venkatreddy, Mukesh Goud, TG Venkatesh, Kanna Lakshminarayana, Pithani Satyanarayana, Saraiah, Ramreddy Venkat Reddy, Botsa Satyanarayana, Vishwaroop and Manikya Vara Prasad Rao.
