Be responsible, offer suggestions on Budget: Bhatti to Babu

Government Chief Whip Bhatti Vikramarka on Friday advised Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu to ‘act as a responsible Leader of the Opposition’ and give positive and valuable suggestions during the discussion on the State Budget 2011-12.

Talking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party Office, Mr Vikramarka found fault with the TDP chief and former chief minister for not offering any suggestions during the discussion on the state Budget 2011-12. He said that as a former chief minister, Mr Naidu should have offered brought his experience and offered suggestions to the government, so that issues of the people can be addressed.

Mr Vikramarka also urged Mr Naidu to control his both party MLAs, from all the three regions of the state, who have been stalling the proceedings in the State Assembly by raising ‘Integrated Andhra Pradesh’ and ‘Separate Telangana’ issues on the Floor of the House.

Finding fault with the MLAs’ ‘objectionable and adamant’ attitude, the Government Whip said they were playing ‘childish’ tricks and stalling the proceedings. They were wasting precious time and money of the state in doing so, he continued.

He appealed to MLAs to act in a responsible manner and help the Deputy Speaker to conduct the House business in a responsible and orderly manner.
