Hinting at a ‘Grand Conspiracy’ to sabotage the separate statehood agitation, senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader T Harish Rao on Saturday stated that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu have joined hands to protect their political future.

Speaking to media persons at the Assembly Media Point, Mr Harish Rao said that the evidence of ‘collusion’ between the former chief minister and the incumbent was too glaring to miss. He stated that the recent visit by former minister JC Diwakar Reddy with Mr Naidu proved that his words correct.

The Siddipet MLA went a step further and said that the reason behind the TDP’s reluctance to introduce a No Confidence Motion in the Assembly against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government was another pointer that the Congress and the main opposition party had entered into some sort of understanding to ‘sabotage’ the separate statehood agitation.

The TRS leader tried to give more credence to his conspiracy theory by saying that the TDP MPTCs were being instructed to support Congress candidates in the ensuing elections to the Legislative Council. “The TDP MPTCs are being surrendered to the Congress,” Mr Harish Rao alleged.

Expressing optimism that his ‘undisclosed pact’ between the two parties would fail, Mr Harish Rao said that the people would teach both the parties a ‘fitting lesson’ at an appropriate time for their ‘deception.’

The TRS MLA also stated that the Assembly more or less has turned into a Seemandhra Assembly.
