Apologise for demanding probe into KCR's assets: Etala to TDP

Telangana Rashtra Samithi Floor Leader in the state Assembly Etela Rajender on Monday demanded that the Telugu Desam Party unequivocally apologise for alleging that Trs president K Chandrasekhar Rao has been minting money by using the Telangana statehood agitation.

Condemning the remarks of Seemandhra Telugu Desam Party MLAs—Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and Linga Reddy—who who had alleged that KCR had minted thousands of crores of rupees by using the Telangana sentiment, Mr Rajender demanded that the TDP leaders immediately withdraw their remarks and also issue an apology.

Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, the Trs Floor leader warned the TDP MLAs of serious consequences if they do not do so.

Condemning the TDP MLAs demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into assets and properties of KCR, Mr Rajender sought to put the ball right back into the TDP court by questioning if TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu has made any money through kickbacks and remained silent over the fact that his MLA Nallapuneni Prasanna Kumar Reddy was speaking in favour of the Congress.

The fact that Mr Chandrababu Naidu has not spoken against Mr Prasanna Kumar Reddy nor has he taken any disciplinary action has raised doubts that the former chief minister has received kickbacks and was supporting the Congress indirectly, Mr Rajender alleged.

Mr Rajender further stated that the TDP leaders have lost their mental balance and this was the reason behind their baseless charges against KCR.

Describing the Vision 2020 document brought out by Mr Chandrababu Naidu as an ‘utter flop’, the Trs leader said that the TDP chief was a ‘420’.
