No internal differences in Cong: K Kesava Rao

Hyderabad, Sept 22: Congress party senior leader K Kesava Rao on Tuesday stated there are no internal differences in the party and all leaders will abide by whatever decision the Party High Command takes.The Congress Working Committee member on Tuesday met the former chief minister and Rajya Sabha member Nedurumalli Janardhana Reddy at his house to discuss the successor issue of late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.The meeting assumed importance as the state is facing uncertainty and leadership crisis after the death of YSR. They discussed the issues connected to the state for more than one-and-half-hour.Talking to media persons, Kesava Rao said that the party high command will take a favorable decision on the successor issue considering the interests of state and emotional attachment with the YSR.

He made it clear that he was not in the race for the chief minister’s post.He said that the all Ministers and MLAs expressed confidence over the leadership of Chief Minister K Rosaiah and the high command. “They left the issue of appointing the chief minister to state to the high command,” he said.Kesava Rao learnt to have asked the Ministers and MLAs to wait till high command announces its decision.He hoped that the high command will take an appropriate decision at appropriate time on successor issue.
