Jagan has no right on YSR's schemes: JC

Former minister and senior Congress leader Jc Diwakar Reddy on Friday stated that former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy has no right to lay claim on schemes and programmes implemented during former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s rule.

Talking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party Office, Mr Diwakar Reddy stated that former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy had made sustained efforts for strengthening the party and implemented the Congress programmes mentioned in the party manifesto effectively.

“Mr Jaganmohan Reddy, without understanding the Congress manifesto and principles, left the Congress party,” the former minister stated. “If he had stayed in the party, he could have laid a claim on the welfare schemes introduced by YSR. After quitting the Congress party, Mr Jaganmohan Reddy has ‘completely’ lost all claims and rights on the welfare schemes introduced by his father,” he added.

Mr Diwakar Reddy further stated that it must be remembered that YSR was a chief minister representing the Congress party and any schemes introduced by him would have to be naturally part of the Congress. He added that the people of the state can never forget the welfare schemes launched by YSR and would vote favourably for Congress candidate DL Ravindra Reddy.

The former minister also expressed confidence that Dr Ravindra Reddy, if the High Command does indeed agree to his candidature to take on Mr Jaganmohan Reddy for the by-election to the Kadapa Parliamentary constituency, will win with a thumping majority.

Mr Diwakar Reddy said that he would make all out efforts to ensure that Dr Ravindra Reddy win the by-polls by campaigning for him.
