MLC and party Floor Leader in the Legislative Council Dadi Veerabhadra Rao after meeting Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal at his chambers in the Secretariat, told media persons that it was shameful if Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy could not announce a holiday for Wednesday for a person who was popular in over 165 countries with immense gathering of devotees.

“He is not fit to be a Chief Minister if he could not announce a holiday tomorrow,” Mr Veerabhadra Rao said.

“It is a disrespect shown to the Telugus,” he said and demanded that a holiday be announced stating that for many VVIPs such holidays were announced in the past.

The TDP leader added “the Chief Minister should protect the honour of the Telugus

by announcing the holiday tomorrow.”
