Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday left for campaigning for the by-elections to the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituencies.
According to a statement issued by TDP, Mr Naidu on Wednesday left for Kadapa by the Venkatadri Express from Kachiguda station.
The statement said that Mr Naidu will campaign for five days for Kadapa Lok Sabha candidate M V Mysoora Reddy and B Tech Ravindra Reddy who is contesting for the Pulivendula Assembly constituency.
As per the original schedule, Mr Naidu was due to launch his campaign on April 24. However, he rescheduled his visit to Kadapa following the demise of spiritual leader Satya Sai Baba.
According to new schedule, the TDP chief will address election meetings in Muddunur, Jammalamadugu and Proddatur on April 28.
He will address meetings in Duvvuru, Mydukuru, B Mattam, Porumamilla and Badvel on April 29.
The former chief minister will address campaigns on Parnapalli, Kommanuthala, Ambakpalli, Nallapareddypalli, E Kothapalli, Mabbuchintalapalli, Bommaiahgaripalli, T Velamavaripalli, Thallapalli and Vempalli in Pulivendula constituency on April 30.
He will address election meetings in Tangalapalli, Nandi Mandalam, Ellaturu and CK Dinne in Kamalapuram mandal and in Kadapa on May 1.
Mr Naidu will interact with party leaders on May 2 in Valluru town and Kamalapuram. Later he will proceed to Hyderabad on Monday evening.
According to sources, the TDP chief will target Jagan’s corruption and government anti-people policies in the election campaigns.
