Congress MLA from Kamalapuram Veerasiva Reddy on Wednesday lodged a complaint with Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar alleging that Kadapa Superintendent of Police Tarun Joshi had acted arrogantly and favoured YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy during polling day of the by-elections.

Lodging a complaint with the Deputy Speaker at his Chambers in the Assembly, Mr Veerasiva Reddy appealed to Mr Manohar to take strong disciplinary action against the SP for violating his privileged rights under MLA.

In his complaint, Mr Veerasiva Reddy stated that Mr Tarun Joshi had put him under house arrest and had not allowed him to oversee the voting.

The Congress MLA appealed to the Deputy Speaker to recommend state Director General of Police to take strong action against the SP for violating his rights.

Mr Veerasiva Reddy further alleged that Chief Electoral Officer Banwar Lal had acted like a polling agent of YSR Congress Party and vowed to lodge a complaint against him with the Election Commission of India.
