Three vehicles in the Chief Ministers convoy rammed into each other to avoid some private vehicles which had strayed on the path near Singhnagar flyover in Vijayawada on Tuesday.
However, no one was injured in the mishap. According to reports, failure in providing security along the route taken by the Chief Minister’s convoy is said to be the reason behind four vehicles coming in the path of the convoy. Earlier, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy told media persons that the government has set a target of completing 16 lakh JNNURM houses across the state by this year end. He was speaking to media persons after inaugurating a housing complex, constructed at a cost of Rs 21 crore under JNNURM scheme in Vijayawada in Krishna district. Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy stated that the government has given top priority to provide houses to weaker and poor sections. Still earlier, as part of his visit to Krishna district, the Chief Minister undertook an aerial survey of Pulichintala Irrigation project. In the district, the Chief Minister will attend programmes at Yanamalakuduru village of Penamaluru mandal. He would inaugurate the Rashtriya Madhyamika Siksha Abhiyaan building and also unveil the pylon for the 1000 state- wide RMSA schools at Edupugallu village of Kankipadu mandal in the evening. Later, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy would interact with parents and students as part of the education fortnight. He would also address a public meeting and distribute assets to the beneficiaries at Kannur. Later, the Chief Minister would hold a review of all developmental activities in Krishna district at the Sub-collector’s office.
