Communist Party of India state secretary K Narayana on Monday demanded that the Telangana Congress leaders and Seemandhra leaders, who are in New Delhi, come to state only after resolving the controversial statehood issue.
Talking to media persons at Makhdhoom Bhavan, Mr Narayana stated that the leaders should not visit the state without getting concrete assurance from the Centre over the Telangana state issue.
Blaming the Centre for political uncertainty in the state, Mr Narayana said the crisis rose due to inordinate delay in taking a firm decision on bifurcation of state.
He said the UPA Government and Congress party president Sonia Gandhi were held responsible for the political uncertainty in the state.
Hailing the High Court ordering Central Bureau of Investigation probe into amassing of assets by Y S R Congress Party president Jaganmohan Reddy, Narayana said the decision would help the government to protect its properties and punish the persons who allegedly is involved in corruption.
He also condemned the Minister’s comments on rotation of power and establishment of army for Seemandhra people to protect themselves from attacks of Telangana activists.
Mr Narayana said this type statements would provoke Telangana people and lead to law and order problems.
He said the left parties will intensify their agitation on people’s problems.
As part of intensifying agitation, Narayana said the left leaders would convene a massive meeting in Hyderabad on July 23 to discuss on people’s problems.
Later, the party would organise conventions in all regions to get first hand information on people’s problems, he added.
