Legislator and Jagan’s loyalist Shobha Nagireddy on Thursday stated that the Congress party has to pay dearly for taking political revenge on Y S R Congress party president Jaganmohan Reddy by way of conducting raids through the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Talking to media persons outside Jaganmohan Reddy’s residence at Lotus Pond where the CBI conducted raids, Shobha Nagireddy alleged that the Congress and Telugu Desam parties were conspiring to end his political career. For the same reason they are trying to implicate him in false cases, she said.
Shoba Nagireddy said that Jagan was being targeted for leaving the Congress party. She said the people of Andhra Pradesh are pained over the CBI raids on former chief minister YSR’s son Jaganmohan Reddy offices and targeting of his family members.
“The people of the state are watching indiscriminate treatment being given to YSR, who brought back the Congress party to power. They will give a befitting reply to the opponents as they did in Kadapa," Shoba said.
Unable to digest Jagan’s growing popularity, she said the government foisted false cases against him and conducting CBI raids at the behest of court directions.
