Hyderabad, Oct 5 :
At last, the Chief Minister, K Rosaiah, on Monday formally shifted to the ‘C’ block in the State Secretariat at 9.17 am. A host of Ministers, MLAs, MLCs and late chief minister’s close aide K V P Ramachandra Rao accompanied him to ‘C’ block. Though there were doubts over his entry into the ‘C’ Block in view of the floods and the likely visit of the United Progressive Alliance(UPA) Chairperson, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, at the same time, the Chief Minister, however, decided to move as per the muhurat.
Ever since his appointment as Chief Minister on September 3, Rosaiah had been discharging his duties from his chambers in the ‘D’ block. He initially expressed reluctance to move into the C block from where his predecessor Y S Rajasekhara Reddy used to function saying, the memories of the latter ‘will haunt me.’ And when he finally made up his mind to move in, he was faced with ‘pithru pakshalu’, a period considered inauspicious.
