Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Tuesday ruled out the possibilities of imposition of President's Rule in the State.
Talking to media persons after holding a meeting with Anantapur district party workers, Botsa said that the opposition parties were unnecessarily floating rumours about the President's Rule. He said that State was not facing any such crisis that necessitates the President's Rule.
Botsa appealed to Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairman Prof M Kodandaram to withdraw the general strike considering the people’s interests. Admitting that the strike has crippled the administration, he said that the leaders did not understand the problems being faced by the people.
The Pcc President reiterated that the Telangana solution was in the hands of Centre and efforts were already on to find an amicable solution.
The Pcc President also claimed that the Congress party never encouraged factionalism. He slammed Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu for unnecessarily linking the Congress for factionalism in the district.
Botsa said that his visit to Anantapur district was primarily aimed at bringing down differences among the district leaders. He said that he would tour five districts to popularize the welfare schemes initiated by the State Government.
