Breathlessness forces Anam to discontinue budget speech

Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy faced some respiratory problems while presenting the State budget for the financial year 2012-13 in the Legislative Assembly on Friday.

After making the speech for about 59 minutes, the minister suffered from breathlessness. He was immediately referred to doctors present in the assembly. On Speaker Nadendla Manohar's directions Agriculture Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah continued the budget speech for a few minutes.

However, after few minutes, Anam returned to the House to finish his second budget speech as the Finance Minister. Doctors have reportedly said that Anam's sugar levels dipped during the budget speech.
