Congress gives caste twist to Narayana's comments on Geetha Reddy

Tribal Welfare Minister P Balraju on Monday has appealed Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to initiate suo moto proceedings against Communist Party of India state secretary K Narayana for making derogatory remarks against Major Industries Minister Dr J Geetha Reddy.

Talking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party Office, Tribal Welfare Minister said that the dalit MLAs and leaders in the party took serious note on Narayan's comments and despite his reported apology, lodged a petition with the Chief Minister at his Camp Office. The Dalit leaders condemned Narayana's comments that Geetha Reddy was giving more importance to her looks rather than her ministry, he stated.

Submitting substantial evidence to the Chief Minister, Balraju said that the Dalit leaders asked Kiran Kumar Reddy to initiate suo moto proceedings against Narayana. He said that Chief Minister assured the Dalit leaders that he would look into the issue and initiate action as per law.

Among the delegation, Health Education Minister Kondru Murali Mohan was also present.
