Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday stated that his party would not be affected in the Telangana region if the Central government announces its decision on bifurcation of State before the 2014 elections.
Talking to media persons at Assembly media hall, Naidu said that his party would never object to any decision to be announced by the Centre on Telangana tangle. Reiterating that the party has a strong base in both Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh, he said that the decision would not affect the TDP's prospects in the next elections.
Responding to the outcome of Uttar Pradesh election results, the TDP chief stated that the people of largest State gave a verdict for stable government and supported the leadership qualities of Samajwadi Party. He said the people voted out the Bahujan Samaj Party although it has sent a resolution on dividing the State into four parts to the Centre. “People did not believe the cheap tricks of Mayawati and rejected her proposal of division of the State in the elections,” he said.
“The election results in five states prove that people have voted for those who have leadership qualities,” Naidu said.
Taking a dig at Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Naidu described K Chandrasekhar Rao as `Collection King’ (Vasool Raja) and YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy as `Corruption king’. Reacting on the by-elections in the state, Naidu there was lot of political changes expected through these elections.
Alleging that the government has totally failed to run the House in a harmonious manner, Naidu said that the TDP was playing a constructive role and shoulder the responsibility of running the House for people’s problems.
