The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday permitted the Enforcement Directorate to question YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy over alleged violations under Foreign Exchange Management Act and Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

While giving permission to Enforcement Directorate, the court said that the Investigative agency could question Jagan Mohan Reddy from July 7 to July 21. The court said that Jagan should be grilled from morning 10 to 5 pm at Chanchalguda Jail in the presence of his lawyers. The court directed the agency not to use any third degree methods during investigations.

Earlier, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s counsel filed a counter petition in the court opposing the proposed questioning of his client and  argued that his client was no longer the Managing Director or the Chairman of Jagathi Publications Limited.

It may be mentioned that the Enforcement Directorate has booked Jagan for violating FEMA and PMLA and sought court's permission to question him.
