The Chief Minister once again called the Telangana Political Joint Action committee to postpone the 'Telangana March' scheduled to be held on September 30 as Ganesh immersion and global conference on bio-diversity were falling on September 29 and October 1 respectively. He said that the government was taking both the incidents prestigiously as any violent incident would bring disrepute to the government and country.

Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the government would establish an aquarium costing Rs 400 crore and a museum with assistance of Centre costing Rs 100 crore to mark the bio-diversity conference. Stating that the government was making all efforts to tide over the power crisis, he said that the government was bearing Rs 6,100 crore subsidy on power.

Taking a dig at Opposition for stalling the assembly sessions, he said that all parties should play constructive and responsible role in the House and help the Speaker to take a healthy discussion on public issues. Responding to leaders from Seemandhra convening a meeting at Ministers' quarters over the Telangana issue, he said that there was no fault in conducting a meeting.

Meanwhile, according to sources, the Chief Minister’s trip to New Delhi on Sunday has been cancelled due to some unavoidable reasons.
