TRS asks Sabitha to release T-activists

A delegation of Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLAs led by floor leader Etala Rajender on Sunday called on Home Minister P Sabitha Indira Reddy asking her to release the Telangana activists, who were arrested in connection with the Telangana March, unconditionally.

Talking to media persons here, Etala Rajender said the delegation appealed the Home Minister to release all activists and stop further arrests across the region. He said the Home Minister has given an assurance that she would direct Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy for the release of pro-Telangana activists.

He alleged that the government was resorting to illegal arrests of activists and leaders to foil the Telangana March. He warned the government of serious consequences if such arrests were not stopped immediately.
