TDP ridicules KCR over T-deadlines

The Telugu Desam Party on Tuesday ridiculed the deadlines set by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao for formation of Telangana State.

Talking to reporters here, Telugu Desam Telangana Forum member and MLA Mothkupalli Narasimhulu said KCR had claimed that Telangana would be a reality by Dassera festival. However, he said like his previous deadlines, this deadline too has been proved a farce. He accused KCR of exploiting the sentiments of people in the region.

Mothkupalli also asked KCR to explain the details of what transpired between him and other leaders during his month-long stay in the National Capital. Questioning the silence of KCR, he said that the TRS chief should clarify his moves in the name of statehood agitation. He alleged that KCR has repeatedly betrayed the people in the name of Telangana and the people would teach him a lesson at an appropriate time.

The TDP leader also condemned Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram for targeting the TDP over the statehood issue. He said while the TRS had colluded with the Congress party, the TPJAC was acting like a wing of TRS.
