Sharmila meets Jagan at Chanchalguda Jail

Ysr Congress leader Sharmila called on her brother and party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the Chanchalguda Central Prison here on Tuesday.

Sharmila, who suffered a ligament tear on her right knee during her Maro Praja Prasthanam padayatra, met Jagan before her knee surgery. Sharmila, who was admitted to the Apollo Hospital on Monday, first went to her residence Lotus Pond and then proceeded to Chanchalguda Jail.

After meeting Jagan, Sharmila directly went to Apollo Hospital where the doctors would perform a surgery. According to Dr Somasekhara Reddy, Sharmila's surgery was scheduled on Tuesday morning. However, she insisted on meeting her brother before the surgery and therefore, she went to the jail.

It may be mentioned that the YSRCP has suspended the Maro Praja Prasthanam padayatra for three weeks as Sharmila would have to take rest after the surgery.
