Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has reportedly got the consent of Congress President Sonia Gandhi to fill the nominated posts in the State.
The Chief Minister, during his 15-minute long meeting with Sonia Gandhi here on Saturday, reportedly got the nod to fill different nominated posts. He also briefed the Congress president about the State-level convention held in Hyderabad last week.
Earlier, Kiran Kumar Reddy also met Union Health Minister and Incharge of AP Congress Affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad and Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. Besides discussing the issue of Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasad Rao, the Chief Minister also discussed the strategy to be adopted for All-Party meeting on Telangana being held on December 28.
Talking to reporters, AICC Secretary and Observer KB Krishna Murthy said that the issue of returning of file pertaining to prosecution of Dharmana Prasada Rao by Governor ESL Narasimhan did not figure in the discussions between the Chief Minister and Sonia Gandhi. However, he said that the leaders have discussed about the political situation and strengthening of party in the State.
Krishna Murthy also ruled out the possibilities of change of guard in Andhra Pradesh.
