The meeting of Seemandhra leaders has adopted a resolution seeking united Andhra Pradesh.
The meeting of MPs, MLAs, and MLCs of Seemandhra met at the ministers’ quarters here today and after confabulations arrived at the decision to work for a united state. The leaders also decided to go to Delhi on January 21 and asserted that they will not go back on resignations if the purpose so demands.
However, Manikya Varaprasad, Vijay Kumar, Pardhasarathy opined that they would abide by the high command’s decision.
In all 62 persons attended the meeting, while some others expressed their inability to attend the meeting due to various reasons, minister Sailajanath said. “The meeting has unanimously adopted a resolution opposing the creation of a separate state,” he said.
Minister TG Venkatesh said that no decision would be taken before Janaury 28.
The issue of Rayalaseema did not come up in the meeting which was only confined to the discussion on the future course of action in wake of the Telangana issue, he said.
