Centre needs more time to take T-decision: Ahmed Patel

Congress senior leader Ahmed Patel on Wednesday clarified that the Centre has not taken any decision on the Telangana issue.

Talking to reporters here, the Political adviser to Congress president Sonia Gandhi said that the Centre needs more time to solve the Telangana issue. He said it was essential for the Centre to conduct two to three more meetings to find a solution to the demand for statehood for Telangana region.

It may be mentioned that talking to media separately, Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad also said that the Centre might not announce the Telangana decision by January 28, as it was promised by Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde after holding an All-Party Meeting on December 28
