Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy categorically reiterated that the State Government was committed to the welfare of the farmers and weaker sections and for the overall development of the State.

The Chief Minister inaugurated four projects - Mahatma Gandhi Markfed Headquarters Building, Rajiv Aarogya Shree Authorisation Centre, Lakdikapul Road-Over-Bridge and Headquarters building of Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday in the city, constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 53 crores.

Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that several welfare programmes were being implemented for the farmers. Listing out the schemes, he said that in the last one year Rs 4,849 crores relief was given, Input subsidy, Interest waiver (2010), Crop insurance and Pavala Vaddi (2009 and 2010) apart from Free power to 32 lakh agricultural connections spending about Rs 4,000 crores per annum, Vaddileni runaalu for about one crore farmers, Farm mechanization with 3000 agro-service centres with Rs 2500 crores in next three years, Indira Jala Prabha with Rs 1,838 crores for 6 lakh SC, ST families, Crop loans (2012-13) Rs 42,000 crores, Seed subsidy Rs.350 crores (2012-13), Fertiliser Subsidy (2012-13)- Rs 8,165 crores etc and all benefits to Sagu Raitu Rakshana Hastham farmers were being given.

The Chief Minister asked the Markfed Offcials to serve the farmers with dedication and commitment.

While inaugurating Rs 25 crore Lakdi-ka-pul Road-over-Bridge, the Chief Minister said that a comprehensive plan would be taken up to solve the traffic problems of Twin Cities and Cyberabad in co-ordination with GHMC and Police. He informed that several schemes including Rs 14,132 crore Hyderabad Metro Rail Project, Rs 6,700 crore Outer Ring Road Project, widening of roads, construction of flyovers are being taken up to ease the traffic problems.

The Chief Minister congratulated the Anti-Corruption Bureau officials for their good work and advised them to speed up their works for better implementation and good governance of government welfare and development schemes.

ACB Director General Prasada Rao made a power point presentation on their structural organisation and informed that 15 Ranges are working with dedication.

Ministers - Dr J Geetha Reddy, Kanna Lakshminarayana, Kasu Krishna Reddy, M Mukesh Goud, Danam Nagender, Kondru Murali, Union Minister Survey Satyannarayana, Secunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Yadav, several MLAs, MLCs, GHMC Mayor Mohammad Majid Hussain, Deputy Mayor G Rajkumar and other senior officials attended the functions.
