Jayasudha quits Assembly

Secunderabad MLA Jayasudha has quit the assembly.

Jayasudha is believed to have sent her resignation letter to Chief Minister yesterday. She has been at loggerheads with former Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy and her husband, who is the Congress choice for MLC post.

Jayasudha was given the Secunderabad seat ticket in the last moment keeping aside Karthika's husband in 2009 by YS Rajasekhar Reddy.

In the municipal elections, Karthika won and became the mayor as per the agreement, Congress had with MIM.

Jayasudha, in the meantime, wanted to join YSR Congress and there were talk about her quitting and voting against the Congress during the no confidence motion. But she changed her mind and was with Congress.

The differences between Jayasudha and Karthika are much in the open.

It remains to be seen, what Jayasudha would do next and also if Congress can keep her within the fold going by the wafer-thin margin it enjoys in the Assembly.
