In her application, Vamsi Priya charged Shankar Rao and family members with harassing her and treating her in an inhuman way and also the police with inaction.

Priya requested that though she had lodged a complaint with the CCS police station, they had not taken any action. She urged the court to direct the police to arrest Shankar Rao and his family members immediately.
