In an open revolt against the Congress Party, six MPs from the Rayalaseema region on Monday served a notice for moving a No Confidence Motion against the Manmohan Singh Government.

The MPs - R Sambasiva Rao, Sabbam Hari, V Arun Kumar, A Saiprathap, L Rajagopal and G V Harshakumar, have written to Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar seeking permission to move a motion expressing No Confidence in the Union Council of Ministers under Rule 198 of the Rules of Procedures and Conduct of Business in the Lok Sabha. Their move is aimed at stalling the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh by obstructing the Telangana Bill in the Parliament in winter session.

However, the MPs would need the support of about 50 MPs to bring a No Confidence Motion. But the MPs claim that they have the required numbers and they would seek the support of regional parties in this regard.
