Subbarami Reddy vows to contest LS polls from Vizag

Rajya Sabha MP T Subbirami Reddy on Saturday announced that he would contest the next Lok Sabha polls from Visakhapatnam seat.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, Subbirami Reddy said that he was aspiring to contest the next Lok Sabha election from Visakhapatnam constituency. However, he was nominated by the party as a candidate for Rajya Sabha elections. Abiding the decision of the Congress High Command, he said he contested the Rajya Sabha polls. However, he expressed his strong desire to contest from Visakhapatnam seat.

Subbirami Reddy thanked AICC President Sonia Gandhi, Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and Congress MLAs who voted for him during the Rajya Sabha elections.
